You’ve already put your checkout process on auto-pilot with Stripe, but managing tax compliance remains challenging, especially if your company grows fast and scales internationally. This integration helps you with that.
You can use this integration to ensure that your Stripe checkout process complies with the tax and invoicing regulations.
With this integration, you will transact data in both directions:
From Stripe to Fonoa, which allows you to:
Detect the taxable status of the counterparty, i.e., the buyer.
Determine and calculate indirect taxes for a particular transaction.
Issue a locally tax compliant invoice.
From Fonoa to Stripe, which allows you to use Fonoa outputs as inputs needed for finishing the Stripe checkout process.

How is Fonoa keeping my transactional data secure?
Fonoa handles your most sensitive data - transactional data. We are aware of that, and that’s why we built a military-grade security system, with multiple layers of protection, distributed across a scalable, secure infrastructure on geographically distributed servers.
Yes, you can update the name of the owner of your Fonoa account in the account administration. Only the current owner of a Fonoa account can transfer ownership away from themselves. If that person is no longer a part of the company, please reach out to us.
What is the minimum data required to onboard a company to the Fonoa system?
To onboard a company, you must provide a couple of basic data points about your company, which includes: the registered company name, the registered address of the company (street, number, postal code, city, country) and others.
When onboarding your company, you will be asked which products and in which countries you want to use. In this way, you will select only one or multiple products and all countries in which you operate.
In which countries can I validate tax identification numbers with Lookup?
Currently, Fonoa Lookup supports validations of tax identification numbers in 50+ countries. We are continually working on expanding the scope of countries supported by Lookup.
