About the role

As a People Operations Coordinator, your role will be to provide the best pre-boarding and onboarding experience for new hires as well as working on a number of different areas that keep our People Operations function ticking. This is a varied role and you will have plenty of opportunities to learn, improve processes, implement your own ideas all with the goal of making Fonoa an awesome place to be in.

We are solving one of the largest yet unsolved problems in global e-commerce and looking for people with a hunger for a new challenge and drive to solve a ubiquitous problem for companies selling globally. Our clients range from world-leading SaaS companies to global marketplaces and some of the largest disruptive technology businesses.

What you will be doing:

People Operations

  • Provide support across the HR function, helping the People Ops Manager with HR admin and documentation.
  • Keep our systems up to date; our HRIS (we use Humaans.io), Notion, Google Drive etc.
  • Help troubleshoot any internal equipment issues for our team.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the employee life cycle; promotions, probation, performance reviews.
  • Provide reporting for our legal teams on request (using our HRIS tool).
  • Support the People Ops Manager with any ad-hoc requests from the team.

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Run the formal employment and logistical process for new hires, working with hiring managers and the People team
  • Support the new hire in every step of the process prior to joining.
  • Support with the new joiner onboarding process, help us welcome our newbies and set them up for their first day
  • Keep our onboarding tools and documents up to date.
  • Gather and implement feedback on our onboarding process, so we can constantly improve it and deliver the best experience to new joiners.
  • Support the offboarding of team members, ensuring there is a smooth exit from both ends.

Culture and Perks

  • Champion our regular internal team meetups - currently we host a regular book club, fitness training, bi-weekly lunches, fonoa talks and lunch and learn.
  • Implement new and fun initiatives for our team as we grow. We leave the creativity to you
  • Support the People Ops Manager with the annual company offsite, last time we went to Barcelona. (this includes assisting with event organisation and coordination).
  • Support the team with organising quarterly meet-ups, we use TravelPerk to book everything but you might need to help the team with the finer details (restaurant bookings and event tickets).
  • Help the People Ops Manager rollout any new benefit programmes, we’re currently working on a Wellbeing Package.

Guidelines and Policies

  • Help document and formalise new guidelines that support our global teams, ranging from annual leave, expenses and any other HR specific topics,
  • Keep updating existing guidelines in line with changes we’re making as we evolve
  • Support the People Ops Manager by helping throughout the research phases of policy writing.

You would be a great fit if:

  • Have completed a university degree
  • You have experience in an administrative or HR role
  • You want to be pursue a career in HR/People and are passionate about serving our teams as we grow
  • Are self directed, organised and a great communicator
  • Familiar with HR working practices, HR systems and tools
  • Have experience working in a fas paced environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple things, through organisation, communication and prioritization
  • Passionate about being in a people-focused role and interested to continue developing in this as a career
  • Comfortable working with Google Applications (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
  • Have great attention to detail and likes the idea of being given responsibility
  • You enjoy taking ownership, finding your way to solve problems and have a mindset to constantly learn and improve
