Jason Abney serves as the Principal of Tax Data Management & Innovation at The Walt Disney Company, a role he has held since January 2017. He is a seasoned Tax Technology leader with 20 years of experience focused on transforming tax operations through innovative, scalable technology solutions. At Disney, Jason has led the successful global implementation of major enterprise tax technology initiatives, including Project Endgame, a multi-year transformation program focused on implementing the ONESOURCE platform and modernizing tax data, processes, and controls. His work also includes global deployments of Vertex, global e-invoicing solutions, and the creation of a transactional tax data lake to support compliance, reporting, and advanced analytics across the organization. Prior to joining Disney, Jason led AutoZone’s Tax Technology and LATAM Tax groups, where he drove significant improvements through automation and operational efficiency, further solidifying his expertise in tax technology transformation. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Sullivan University.

I lead the global Data & Tech Strategy Tax team at Booking. We are a specialist Tax Transformation team sitting within the Tax Department - bridging the gap between Tax, Product, Data & Engineering. I lead an international multidisciplinary team of Tax Data, Tax Technology, AI and analytics, as well as Project and Program management experts. Our mission is to design and implement scalable, intelligent systems and capabilities that strengthen compliance and enhance operational efficiency and enable decision making across the business. As a qualified tax consultant and chartered accountant, I have also successfully designed and executed tax strategies for multinational organizations and established and nurtured high-performing teams in various locations.

J Gu is a seasoned product leader at Meta, specializing in AI-driven tax and finance innovation. He builds intelligent platforms that simplify global indirect tax compliance, streamline direct tax planning, and automate complex financial operations at scale. His recent work focuses on applying Agentic AI to transform solutions —improving data reconciliation accuracy, reducing audit exposure, and modernizing end-to-end financial workflows. Prior to Meta, J worked as a Senior Manager of Product Management on the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team. In this role, he led initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency and delivered value to sellers worldwide. J began his career as a scientist, developing advanced algorithms in the X-ray field to solve complex technical challenges before transitioning into product management. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and has advanced training in cloud computing, data analytics, and machine learning. J also holds patents in the medical field for AI-driven treatments in neurotherapy. With deep experience leading cross-functional product, engineering, and business teams, J is known for delivering scalable, customer-centric solutions that address the toughest pain points for B2B and enterprise customers. His background blends strong technical and analytical depth with strategic execution.

Henrique Santos leads the Global Indirect Tax team at Uber Technologies, with over 20 years of experience in taxation - nine of those at Uber. In this capacity, he manages a diverse team with a global footprint across the APAC, EMEA, Latam, and US&C regions. Henrique also leads a global tax transformation project, working in close collaboration with the Engineering and Financial Technology teams to deploy cutting-edge, data-driven technologies that modernize compliance and refine global indirect tax strategies. Prior to his current position, Henrique served as the head of Tax for Brazil, managing a comprehensive portfolio including tax planning, advisory, compliance, and litigation. During this tenure, he actively participated in discussions regarding the reform of the Brazilian tax system. Beyond his corporate leadership, Henrique serves as a Director for GTECS, a group of tax professionals dedicated to navigating the taxation of the digital economy.

Rhodah Nyamongo is pursuing the Doctoral Program in Business Law with a focus on international tax law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business where she also works with the Global Tax Policy Centre, Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law as a Research and Teaching Associate. Currently, she is carrying out research with a special focus on tax administration and digitalisation, use of artificial intelligence by tax administration and taxpayers’ rights and digital economy taxation. She holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Laws from Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya and is qualified as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Previously, she worked in private practice, advising corporate and institutional clients on tax issues.

Alexis Aimard is a product and tax technology leader with over a decade of experience bridging complex global tax requirements and scalable digital solutions. As a Director of Product Management, he helps organizations design and implement innovative tax technology strategies that align product, engineering, and compliance. Originally from France and now based in Austin, Texas, Alexis brings a global perspective and a passion for making tax technology accessible, intelligent, and impactful.

Josh Reardon is a Senior VAT Manager at Zoom Communications, Inc.. With over twelve years of experience in indirect tax, Josh specialises in the intersection of VAT and digital services. At Zoom, Josh plays a key role in shaping and executing VAT strategies that support the company’s global growth, ensuring compliance with evolving tax legislation while leveraging technology to streamline reporting, maximise accuracy, and enhance efficiency. Josh’s role spans the full VAT lifecycle - from policy through to compliance - requiring an end-to-end perspective where technology plays a critical role in managing complexity and time constraints effectively. Before joining Zoom, Josh worked at EY in both the UK and the US, with a specific focus on advising technology clients on global VAT and GST compliance, process improvement, and the implementation of tax technology solutions. Josh’s expertise spans VAT process transformation, digital services taxation, and the integration of tax technology to meet complex business-to-government reporting requirements. His work reflects a commitment to innovation and collaboration in navigating the rapidly changing landscape of global digital indirect tax.

Parmi leads the Global Tax Department’s GenAI Enablement and Transformation programme at Amazon, shaping how large-scale tax teams adopt AI responsibly and effectively. With 18 years’ experience across Indirect Tax, global compliance, product strategy and technology delivery, he has built and led tax technology solutions used by millions of customers worldwide. His current focus is building AI fluency across tax teams, defining governance frameworks, and developing AI-powered capabilities that unlock scale and quality for global compliance operations.

Richard Stern has worked advising governments on taxation issues for over 25 years. He is currently the Director of the Global Tax Policy Center, Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law, Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien and has been teaching in the Tax and Law faculty since 2013, Richard was Lead Tax Specialist for the World Bank Group’s Global Tax Team, as well as running the World Bank Group’s International tax and Tax Transparency Initiative from 2003-2017 Dr. Stern holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley (1992), an MS in International Relations from Georgetown School of Foreign Service (1986), and a BA from Williams College (1983).
