On July 11, 2023, the MoF of the UAE announced five major strategic transformational projects for the future. One of the announced projects is to establish the foundation of an advanced electronic invoicing system, known as the “e-billing system,” that will operate at the country level and help automate tax return filing.

Timeline

The "e-billing System" project will have several phases and targets that are to be completed by July 2025.
